2007 KOS was a first for Marathon and we were excited to have some local boys and girls as well as a few from out of town in to participate.
The water was cold but the kids were brave. Penn Lake is shallow and spring fed.
Volunteers are ready and waiting to hep the kids. More than 50 people volounteered this year for the KOS and the Penn Lake Pursuit.
Our honorary race director for 2007 was Sean Aiken from oneweekjob.com. Sean worked for us all week and raised $800 for Make Poverty History Canada. Sean presents medals to our KOS participants after the race.
Kids are all winners and they have just as much fun after the race as they do in the race. Penn Lake Park is a great place for kids and families.
When the fun ends the only thing left to do is to get ready to have fun again.
